Peas are well known for being a source of highly bioavailable protein. Additionally, peas are not considered one of the major dietary allergens. Collectively, this makes pea protein an ideal source of post-workout nutrition for athletes who may have difficulty supplementing with other types of protein. NOW® Sports Pea Protein is a non-GMO vegetable protein isolate that has 24 grams of easily-digested protein. Each 1 scoop serving typically has over 4,200 mg of branched-chain amino acids, and over 2,000 mg of arginine. NOW® Sports Pea Protein is pure and natural, unflavored, and mixes easily into your favorite beverages.

Low Carb-High Protein Pancakes
I use this Pea Protein Powder to make homemade protein powder pancakes. These can be eaten as part of a meal but they also make a great low carb in-between meal snack if you choose your ingredients wisely. There are several on-line recipes but after you try these out, you may want to create your own recipe(s) which is what I did.
I add in grated fresh apples, unsweetened frozen blueberries, fresh cranberries when available, unsweetened coconut flakes, a little plain uncooked oatmeal, shelled walnuts and eggs. I fry these in coconut oil so that the outside is crispy but they are soft on the inside. Since I often use these for snacks, I omit the baking powder so that they're not fluffy which makes it convenient to just pick one up and eat it like you would eat a cookie. I make an assortment of sizes ranging from large to small and I add no sweeteners as I like them plain. For variety, it's easy to add in different kinds of fruit or mix in other protein powders such as whey, soy isolate, etc.
Have fun and enjoy!ValueConsciousShoper
